Desiccator holds a full vacuum at room temperature for 24 hours and will remain airtight even if not under vacuum. Autoclavable. A common use for desiccators is to protect chemicals which are hygroscopic or which react with water from humidity. Used for preserving moisture-sensitive items. Clear polycarbonate top on a chemical-resistant white polypropylene bottom. Internal groove on the flange holds a silicone rubber O-ring. Fitted with a polypropylene stopcock with a self-lubricating PTFE plug which allows a controlled entrance of air preventing unnecessary turbulence. ‘Flat Dome'.
