These NIST Traceable Scratch Dig Standards are perfect for assessing surface defects on optical components. Each plate boasts a 60mm scale, six varied grids, and six line blocks with differing frequencies. The grids can measure irregular defect areas, with the grade number being the square root of the total defect area in a region. Available in sets of two plates, Plate 1 covers grades 0.004 to 0.040, and Plate 2, 0.040 to 0.400. The first surface sets have top-marked features, while the second surface set has bottom-marked features. The positive set features are opaque on a clear background, and the negative set features are clear on an opaque background.
